Millwork Prep & Painting process
1

Millwork condition review

We inspect trim, doors, casing, built-ins, handrails, and caulk lines to identify dents, gaps, gloss, and adhesion concerns.

2

Detailed masking

Walls, floors, glass, hardware, and adjacent finished surfaces are protected before sanding or coating begins.

3

Sanding, filling, and caulking

Nail holes, seams, chips, and edges are repaired so the finish reads as clean millwork instead of patched paint.

4

Primer and finish selection

We use trim-appropriate primers and durable finishes selected for adhesion, touch resistance, and a clean final sheen.

5

Final line and touch-up review

Edges, corners, hardware areas, and high-touch details are checked before the work area is cleaned.

What This Helps Prevent
